Sunfest celebrates its 44th year as Ocean City's biggest and best festival!  Sunfest artists will delight your senses with their art and craft creations. Demonstrating artists will amaze you with their unique talents.  Over 30 food vendors will awaken your taste buds with delicious foods from famous Eastern Shore delicacies to pit beef, gyros, Asian cuisine and many more. Enjoy free live entertainment on two stages all day long. Children will enjoy hayrides and inflatables on the beach. Sunfest 2018 has something for everyone. Admission to the four-day event is free! Movie Showing - Andy Irons: Kissed By God Kissed By God is a film about bipolar disorder and opioid addiction as seen through the life of three-time world champion surfer Andy Irons.  Andy struggled with the same demons that millions of people worldwide battle with daily.  Andy was an incredible presence on the world stage as the "People's Champion."  He was the pride of Hawaii and revered around the world for his blue collar rise to fame and success.  However, many were unaware of his internal battles that led to his demise. Winefest - Wine on the Beach - 23rd Annual!
Inlet Lot, 11am to 7pm The perennial Ocean City fall favorite, “Wine on the Beach,” will celebrate its 23rd year at the coastal resort. The event takes place at the Inlet, where the historic boardwalk begins. The Festival, featuring Maryland wines, will be open Friday, September 28, and Saturday, September 29, from 11am to 7pm. In addition to the vast array of wine offerings, there will be several vendors offering an array of Regional cuisine. Also featured are arts and craft vendors and assorted micro-brewed beers for purchase. Popular local recording artists will provide entertainment on the oceanfront stage throughout the festival. Stroll from winery to winery with the souvenir tasting glass that comes with admission. Mingle with friends while sipping fine wine, marvel at the fine arts and crafts on display, and relax by the sand stage with tasty treats while enjoying live music. Bring a chair or blanket and enjoy the entertainment and sea breezes. Tickets for the festival are $35.00 (General Admission) at the gate. The cost includes a commemorative wine glass and sample coupons. 10/13/2018 Historic House Tour
This October the Ocean City Museum Society will offer a new event. A Historic House Tour will take place on Saturday, October 13th from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. This event will allow those that have an interest in local history to step into the past as they tour some of Ocean City’s oldest homes, hotels and other iconic sites. An interpreter will be at each site to discuss the unique history of the building. Some of the sites available for touring are; An Inn at the Ocean B&B, The George Bert Cropper House, and St. Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church. The Historic House Tour is a fundraiser that will help strengthen and grow the George and Suzanne Hurley Scholarship Fund. This scholarship is open to Stephen Decatur High School graduates who plan on furthering their education at Salisbury University, Wor-Wic Community College, or UMES. Annually, the Museum awards one student, who can effectively demonstrate through essay, the historical significance of a community member, landmark, or event. TRUNK OR TREAT – On the boardwalk north of the amusement pier Trunk or Treat will take place on the boardwalk south of Caroline Street and north of the amusement pier as the Drive in Disguise gets parked and set up. Drive in Disguise participants have the option of participating in this candy and treat give-away. The event is expected to begin at approximately 3:40pm and will last as long as the participants have treats to give.

The American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walks raise awareness and funds to save lives from breast cancer. 10/20/2018 OC Life-Saving Station Museum 40th Anniversary
Spend the afternoon at Fager’s Island on October 20th from 1:00 -3:30 PM as we celebrate the Museum’s 40th Anniversary. This event will benefit the Ocean City Museum Society. The Museum Society is a nonprofit that is dedicated to inspiring and supporting the interpretation and appreciation of the cultural and natural history of Ocean City, and the Worcester County coastal region. This society is responsible for funding many of the museums public programs and exhibits. This "Surfin' the Seventies" themed event will offer a 50/50 Raffle, barbecue style food, and music by DJ Batman.  Tickets are $70 for members of the museum and $75 for non-members. 8th Annual Drive in Disguise and Halloween Boardwalk Parade - OPEN TO EVERYONE! Halloween decorated cars will parade down the boardwalk from 27th Street to the Inlet Lot.  There will be voting for the best decorated cars.  Trunk or Treating will take place after the parade on the boardwalk between Caroline and Wicomico Streets.  Parade begins at 3pm. HOWL-O-WEEN PET PARADE – Saturday, October 20, 2018 - Located at N. Division Street on the Boardwalk Bring your dog, cat, bird or other family pet for Ocean City’s “Howl-O-Ween Pet Parade”, on the boardwalk near N. Division Street. Dress up your pets and showcase your creativity on Ocean City’s historic Boardwalk or sit back, relax and cheer for your favorite contestant. Each entry gets their moment in the spotlight. Lots of prizes and surprises will be awarded. While the event is free to participate, donations of pet supplies and monetary donations will be collected to benefit the Worcester County Humane Society. 10/27/2018 Swing for Youth Golf Open
Swing for Youth Golf Open - October 27, 2018 Eagles Landing plays host to the OC Recreation Boosters 8th Annual Swing for Youth Golf Open.  This 4-person Florida scramble is a huge success with sell-out crowds each year.  Participation is limited.  All-inclusive price of $125 per player, $500 per team.  Price includes greens fees and cart, two mulligans per person, putting contest, "Tame the Beast", and raffle tickets.  The tournament begins with a shotgun start at 10am.  All proceeds from this event will benefit the youth programs of Ocean City's Recreation and Parks.  For more information, call Eagles Landing Golf Course at 410-213-7277.

O.C.TOBERFEST - THE GREAT PUMPKIN RACE – Located on the beach at N. Division Street and the Boardwalk The fun continues with “The Great Pumpkin Race” on Saturday, October 27, on the Boardwalk. Build your own pumpkin race car to bring and compete in this wacky and zany, side-by-side, down-hill race. Follow along with Dead of Night Paranormal team and experience the spirits that occupy the Ocean City Life Saving Station Museum. Dead of Night will conduct their investigation using equipment such as an EVP (Electronic Voice Phenomenon) recorder and an EMF (Electromagnetic Frequency) meter to detect and communicate with the supernatural. As you tour from room to room museum staff will tell stories of historic tragedies and paranormal activity that has taken place within this 127-year-old Life-Saving Station. OC Christmas Parade - Saturday, December 1, 2018

Tis the Season!  The 35th Annual Ocean City Christmas Parade marches along Coastal Hwy. on Saturday, December 1, 2018.  The holiday parade starts at 11am on Old Landing Rd. and marches northbound in the southbound lanes of Coastal Hwy. to the judges' stand at 120th St.  The event will feature more than 50 units, including high school bands, horses, antique cars, colorful holiday floats, and more.

Professional judges will review bands and other units in nine categories, with trophies being awarded inside the Carousel Hotel following the parade.  The awards presentation is part of a post-parade reception hosted by the Carousel Hotel, bringing additional family fun for participants and patrons alike.  Festivities at the hotel will begin immediately after the parade conclusion and sill include half-priced ice skating, a DJ playing continuous holiday music and fee photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus.  In addition, complementary winter refreshments will be available.

To participate in the Ocean City Christmas Parade, which is coordinated by the Town of Ocean City, registrants should contact the Special Events Dept. at 410-250-0125.  There is no charge to participate.  For those wishing to view the parade, plenty of seating will be available along the west side of the half-mile parade route, including the Food Lion parking lot and judging area.

Spectators will not be permitted to watch the parade from the median area of Coastal Hwy.  Motorists are reminded that traffic pattern changes will begin approximately 8am and traffic congestion and delays should be expected.  Also, due to the high volume of pedestrian traffic, everyone is reminded to Walk Smart by using crosswalks and crossing with the traffic control signal.

New Year's Eve Celebration and Fireworks

The Town of Ocean City will be hosting a New Year's Eve Fireworks Show at Northside Park to celebrate the beginning of 2019 and the 26th Annual Winterfest of Lights.  The fireworks display, which will begin promptly at midnight, will be accompanied by live entertainment, warm hot chocolate, and the opportunity to ride through the Winterfest of Lights.

Hours for the Winterfest of Lights, which was recently named a prestigious Top 100 Event by American Bus Association and voted "Maryland's Finest Holiday Tradition" by Maryland Life Magazine, will be extended until midnight.  This family-friendly event will allow visitors to travel through the winter paradise of lights and then listen to music by a local DJ as they wait for the countdown to midnight.

With more than one million holiday lights sparkling throughout Northside Park, the Winterfest of Lights New Year's Eve Fireworks Show will be a great way to ring in the New Year.
